Spartans Suspensions

MSU has suspended 12 of their players and kicked 2 off the team all together. Most recently, a red-shirted freshman was suspended indefinitely today after charges were brought against him following a November 22 public urination incident. Myles White has been charged with public urination and possession of alcohol by a minor, what Michigan-ders fondly refer to as an "MIP."

Not surprisingly, I did not escape college without getting an MIP under my belt. These citations are so common in fact that there is a standard plea state-wide which allowed those charged to participate in an alcohol awareness class and have the first charge of MIP dismissed.

Frankly, I don't understand why they bothered to suspend the kid. He is a red-shirted freshman isn't the alcohol awareness class punishment enough? Let's face it, Jimmy Clausen gets away with picking fights in South Bend (to the extent that he's erroneously considered a victim) but a drunk kid can't pee in a bush! We have all peed in a bush at some point and most of us did it after consuming alcohol. I often wonder how cops aren't too conflicted to write a ticket for something they themselves have likely done countless times.

I say, keep pissing Spartans! Keep pissing off your fans. Keep pissing your season away.

Clausen Will Declare for 2010 Draft

Jimmy Clausen has decided to declare himself for the NFL draft in 2010. This is at the advice of Charlie Weis - and we all know how good Charlie's advice is based on his coaching records at ND. Seems like a big f you to ND from Weis - leaving the program without a quarterback.

Nonetheless, I suspect that Clausen's career as a pro will go just about as good as Brady Quinn's. By that, I mean it's possible that one day, he'll have the honor of losing to the Lions on Thanksgiving Day to prove that he is actually the worst QB in the NFL.

And what really happened is that Clausen, along with several other ND football players, decided it would be cool to go pick fights after they lost to UConn! That's right, UCONN. Unless it's a basketball game you're playing, this loss is horrendous. (Thank God that Weis will be looking for a new job after his coaching internship.)

After the defeat, Clausen thought it appropriate to go pick fights at the bar as witnessed by anyone who was actually there. Then, because he sucks so much, Clausen couldn't win the fight and is now reporting to the media that he got punched by an irate fan. Undoubtedly fans were irate. It probably enraged them more that Clausen had the balls to hit up the South Bend bars after he lost to UCONN when he clearly should have been at home contemplating his life and how much he sucks.

And, just for good measure, I would like to point out that Brady Quinn LOST TO THE LIONS. Charlie, you and your quarterbacks suck. Rather than leading your team to victory you've probably taught them nothing more than how to win a hot dog eating contest.
