CRAZY B*TCH!

One of my exes recently "liked" this thing on facebook that kinda made me a little nervous. That statement he "liked" was: "Ever look at your ex and just think, 'was I drunk our whole relationship?'" WHOA buddy WHOA. He can't possibly be referring to me, I mean this guy and I barely dated and quite frankly he didn't even get a smidge of the crazy Latina that resides deep within me. None-the-less, I was the last person he dated and it really got me in one of those girl circular thinking mind loops- every chick reading this knows exactly what I'm talking about.

Anywho, when I found out about Kassim Osgood, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver, getting pistol whipped by a cheerleader's ex-boyfriend, I really felt much more at ease. I mean seriously, I am a angel compared to this biddy. Mackenzie Rae Putnal, 19 and a current team cheerleader, is PURE TROUBLE. Kassim ended up jumping from a second floor window to run screaming from 20 year old Julian Armond Bartletto, Putnal's ex. I think the worst part is that there was actually crossfire between the two former lovers. There are sooooooooooooo many things wrong with this story I don't know where to begin. First of all, who gave this girl- this teenager a gun? Second of all, Kassim, why are you 30 and dating a 19 year old? Seriously dude, I know you play for the Jaguars, but 19 really? Are the cougars in that short of supply down there? I don't know what to say except that I will sleep well knowing that on the grand scale of crazy b*tches, I am a saint.

NFL Draft Recap (Losers Edition)...

Yesterday, we looked at some teams that had pretty solid showings during draft weekend. Today, we look at the times that tried, but failed. Obviously, I'm not a GM, but these teams made moves that will be scrutinized and criticized heavily if they go wrong.

First off, we have the...

Buffalo Bills: Wow, it definitely sucks to be a Buffalo sports fan right now. Not only do you have to freeze your ass off for most of the year, but your hockey team is staving off elimination, and now your Bills team delivered a dud of a draft that leaves future outlooks more than a little grim. Clemson RB C.J. Spiller is definitely a dynamic talent, but the running game was not the problem in Buffalo. The offensive line and the inconsistent quarterback play were the problems. And the Bills really did nothing about those problems. They didn't select an offensive lineman until Ed Wang in the fifth round, and they didn't select a quarterback until Levi Brown in the final round. These are not the type of players that are going to become gamechangers. It's not a good feeling when Trent Edwards can feel comfortable about his chances as a starting QB. Also, the Bills needed help on defense, particularly on the line, and they selected tackle Torrell Troup when there were better options available in the second round.

Jacksonville Jaguars & Washington Redskins: I grouped these teams together because they both had more than a few questionable picks. I have been a fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars dating back to Madden 1999 and a lifelong Cal football fan, but picking Tyson Alualu tenth doesn't make sense any way you slice it. I know other teams were supposedly high on him and he could turn out to be a stud, but you need to be able to trade down for a player many analysts didn't have in the first round. Also, I know Jacksonville desperately needed help on their D-Line, but they reached on their next one, (although I do like his name. D'Anthony. That's a nice name.) and only drafted one offensive player to a team that didn't put up lots of points. The Redskins took T Trent Williams when there were higher-rated players available, and like the Jaguars, took unheralded offensive players to an offense that will need more than Donovan McNabb and Santana Moss to be productive.

And finally, I could not have a list of bad drafts without including the Denver Broncos. Being a Raiders fan, I already despise the team. But then they did this. Their draft actually wasn't that bad, but I fear that any good players they drafted (like WR's Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker) might be scared off by Tebow's religious ambitions.

Colliers Shooter Convicted

Tyrone Hatsfield was convicted of the attempted murder of the Jaguars offensive lineman, Richard Collier. In 2008, Hatsfield shot Collier six times outside an apartment building in Jacksonville, leaving Collier paralyzed with an amputated leg. The convict will be sentenced later this month and faces up to life in prison. Hatsfield has been indicted on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon but it is unclear whether prosecutors will pursue this charge.
