FANatic: Taking a Digger

I’m still a little torn on whether to laugh at this Phillies fan or sit him down for pointers. Either way, he gets points for effort considering he made the FANatic cut. Check out the video. After briefly chasing the 17-year-old fan around Citizens Bank Park, park security apparently decided they had dealt with enough rampaging for one game and tazered him. He then proceeded to do a face-plant mid-field as the entire stadium stood watching while the po-po figured out what to do with his lifeless body.

Laugh:
Skip to 21 seconds to see the reaction of Phillies players laughing into their gloves as he takes a digger face-first. As if the humiliation of thousands of fans laughing in your face live or the fact that the clip went on to make the evening news wasn’t enough, even the players couldn’t keep it together.

Give Pointers:
If anyone has learned anything from this kid’s move, I sincerely hope it’s the following: go big or go home. If you are going to run across a field, get your ass tazered and have it posted all over the evening news and the internet, you might as well do it in style: throw on a birthday suit for that caliber of special occasion.
