Lowell Bids Boston Farewell

Mike Lowell has been traded by the Red Sox to Texas. Following 2008 surgery Lowell has had a tough go in Boston and with a $12 million bill attached to him, it makes sense to get a more consistent player. Max Ramirez will be joining the Sox. Ramirez is a minor league catcher and looking to fill the shoes of Boston's aging franchise catcher, Jason Varitek.
