Since spring has sprung, we are sprung on the idea of European men dominating the world of sports. Our new favorite discovery is the formula one racing driver, Michael Shumacher, who is one of the best, if not the best in his league. According to the formula one website he is “statistically the greatest driver the sport has ever seen” and has set the record to be the only driver in formula one to complete an entire season finishing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in all races. What a speed demon.
His domination carries on off the track as well. Eurobusiness has listed Shumacher as the world’s first billionaire athlete and Forbes has also identified him as the 2nd highest paid athlete in the world, ranking him 17th on Forbes, - “The World’s Most Powerful Celebrities List.” Shumacher has made great strides with his cash money and power in many ways. One in particular is by donating money to “Palace for the Poor,” a center for helping homeless street children obtain an education, clothing, and shelter. His reason for his interest in this effort was “piqued by his love for children, and the fact that these causes have received little attention.” Now MY heart is starting to race.
So, Mr. Shumacher, Strapping Jock of the Month means the same thing in any language. You’re hot, successful, and have a huge… heart. So feel free to take us for a ride anytime.
