Women's Australian Open Update...

Well, half of my men's predictions came true. The other half might have as well if Roddick and Nadal both weren't injured.

Tonight, the semifinals for the women's draw take place, with Serena Williams facing Na Li and the recently-unretired Justin Henin facing Zheng Jie. This is the first time ever there have been two Chinese women in the finals of a major tennis tournament, and as you can imagine, support is extremely strong both in Australia and back home. It's not like they have gotten lucky either. Na Li just beat Venus Williams, and Jie has been cruising throughout the tournament.

Serena looks like she is somewhat injured, as she has had heavy layers of tape on her calf and knee. But I think that she will still be able to fight off Li and get to the finals. She will be motivated to not let Li take both of the Williams sisters out. And I also think Henin continues her miracle run. A Williams-Henin final would be nothing out of the norm, except most people weren't expecting Henin to even be playing right now. But I think she shows the world that she means business when she forcefully announces her return and wins the Open in three sets.
