And the Strapping Jock Award Goes to...

Landon Donovan: the now single (formerly married to actress/two-time Maxim “Hot 100 Women”, Bianca Kajlich) LA Galaxy forward. Besides the fact that he was the first man to be named U.S. Soccer Athlete of the Year two years in a row, is the only six-time winner of the Honda Player of the Year award and is the all-time leader in scoring and assists for the US national team, he also DOMINATED for team USA at the 2010 World Cup.

In case you have been oblivious to the world-wide madness of the World Cup, let me give you a little recap on his aforementioned domination. In the US game vs. Ghana, his penalty goal made him the highest scoring American in World Cup history. Then, in the US/Slovenia game, he scored a goal that not only lead to the 2-2 tie, but also made him one of three Americans to ever score a goal in more than one World Cup. Finally, in the US game vs. Algeria, Donovan scored to lead the US to their first World Cup group win since 1930, tying for the most American World Cup goals.

He’s cute, he’s single and he whoops ass on the field. Yup, SJTM worthy in our eyes.
