Definitely okay to be a geek...

Every sports fan has experienced the feeling. Spontaneously deciding to go to go to some kind of sporting event only to search the internet and find that options are overly limited or expensive. Well, Jack Groetzinger and seatgeek.com are trying to change the mentality towards purchasing tickets. Simply put, the website helps fans figure out the best times to buy tickets. It uses an algorithm developed by numerous economists that accounts for several variables, such as sales from previous seasons and predicted weather for that day. With all the factors put into place, the site is able to correctly predict 83% of the time whether the ticket price will go up or go down. The site is completely free to use, and once registered, people can sign up for email alerts to let them know when their favorite performers are coming to town. And it's not only for us sports fans. Spread the word to everyone! Concert tickets can also be purchased on the site. I'm definitely using this site the next time I buy Nickelback...uh I mean Nas tickets.
