Moving on up?

The Michigan Wolverines, ranked #25 coming into the weekend, may have a chance to move up in the rankings after their 45-17 creaming of Eastern Michigan University. Not only did the Wolverines crush the Eagles (thanks in no small part to senior Carlos Brown’s 187 rushing yards), but they also defeated former UM defensive coordinator Ron English. Side note: English played a large part in recruiting the junior and senior classes who are now playing under Rich Rodriguez.

The Wolverines were not ranked at the beginning of the season, but things are looking up with what should be an easy home game versus Indiana next week. They already have as many wins now as they did for the entire 2008 football season (3), so even if you’re in the mood to be pessimistic, the team definitely won’t be worse than last year.
